Opening general session

At the opening session this morning, Thomas Kuhn, ASAE President, and Ralph Nappi, ASAE Chairman, gave out some interesting facts and figures.

- Membership in ASAE is increasing. (We now have 21,288 members.)
- Retention rates are up by 10%.
- Only about 15% of members attend the annual meeting.

For those who weren't there, you missed a hilarious musical opening. A country band did a few 'modified' tunes. The first one, I didn't recognize the original, but the chorus was "Non-profit, I Love It, Can't Get Enough Of It". Then there was "Strategic Plan" sung to the tune of "Stand by Your Man" and "Pay No Taxes" sung to "God Bless Texas". I couldn't help but think that the singers probably had no idea why we were laughing so hard.

The other important thing you missed was the new Money Back Guarantee from ASAE. I'm sure you'll be hearing more.
