3 idea nuggets...

...that could perhaps turn into Great Ideas--heard in Idea Labs this morning:

  • Establish a rewards program that offers rewards (meaningful rewards) to members for being highly engaged with your organization.
  • Foundation fundraising idea -- Have a consultant, staff person, other expert who is really engaged with your organization and is pretty well known among members. Ask them if they'd consider giving a free day/program/etc. that your foundation can auction off.
  • You've heard this one before: Get new members involved immediately. The idea part: if you're a national organization with chapters, what can you do to help your chapters accomplish this?

I will be more than a little depressed if this is all we can come up with as "great ideas". Just sayin'...

Ok Maddie, I see you're unimpressed... you've been here a couple days now, will you share an idea or two that could be great?

Dude. I have TONS of ideas. How 'bout:

- let's crowdsource more educational content for our conferences and deliver what our attendees really want.
- Have a weekly all staff stand up meeting sharing what you're going to do that week in support of your mantra.
- Try the Google model of letting staff spend 20% (or whatever percentage) of their time on projects of their choosing.
- start creating a culture where truth and authenticity thrive by setting up safe spaces (whatever they might look like) where people can say stuff they might not otherwise feel free to say.

How's that for a start?
